Iranian Regime Silences Media with Death Penalty Threat
An intelligence unit of Iran’s Islamic Revolutionary Guard Corps has issued a stark warning: any form of cooperation with Mossad will be met with the highest legal penalty, effectively amounting to a death sentence. The statement, circulated via social media, cites several provisions of the Law on Combating Hostile Actions of the Zionist Regime to emphasize its position.
According to the directive, all forms of intelligence exchange, interactions, or information sharing with either official or unofficial agents connected with the Zionist regime are deemed criminal. This includes not only direct collaborations but also any cultural, media, or propaganda activities that could be interpreted as supporting or legitimizing the regime. The announcement makes it clear that those found guilty under these clauses will face the maximum punishment prescribed by law.
Babak Kamiar, head of a Persian media desk, expressed concern that this measure will force local media outlets into silence. He warned that even international organizations with correspondents on the ground might be cut off from reliable domestic sources. “The penalty is unambiguously the death sentence,” he noted, adding that only content praising the regime is likely to be published from now on.
This harsh stance represents a further tightening of state control over media and public discourse, reinforcing an environment where any independent reporting or criticism is subject to severe repercussions.
